5 Players from the Indian Contingent in Rio Olympics who can #GrabTheGold

Just a day before the start of the 2016 Rio Olympics at which India has sent its largest contingent ever (with 120 athletes), there are many reasons to believe that India’s players can do better this time. But #WhatteTrend brings you 5 star-players who have full potential to #GrabTheGold :-

1.) Saina Nehwal (Badminton)

The first Indian to win a medal in Badminton at the Olympics (winning the Bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics),  India’s star player and ace shuttler would want to #GrabTheGold this time! We wish her all the best.

2.) Deepika Kumari (Archery)

Deepika Kumari, former World No.1 in 2012, is now at 12th place. She says that her inner demons only want an Olympic Medal! We also have Atanu Das, Laxmi Rani Majhi & Bombayla Devi as a part of women’s team! We wish you all the best. Go #GrabTheGold

3.) Leander Paes and Sania Mirza (Lawn Tennis)

The ageless and the most experienced player Leander Paes in Men’s doubles and Sania Mirza (currently ranked No. 1 in the women’s doubles) in Women’s doubles & Mixed doubles are potential medalists and can bring laurels to our country. Go #GrabTheGold.

4.) Dipa Karmakar (Gymnastics)

Dipa Karmakar rose to recognition when she won a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, held at Glasgow, becoming the first Indian female gymnast to do so in the history of the games. We have no doubts about her potential and wish her all the best. Go girl, #GrabTheGold.

5.) Yogeshwar Dutt (Wrestling)

Yogeshwar Dutt won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Men’s 60kg Freestyle wrestling. He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2013. He won Gold Medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games at Glasgow. We know that Yogeshwar will leave no stone unturned in this year’s Olympics as well and would #GrabTheGold.

All the best to all the 120..!!
