1. Laughter Riot –
A no-nonsense , clean , sparkling situational comedy which almost gives you a laughter all through the film. And the best part, all the jokes are well weaved in & the humor doesn’t look like a forced add-on!
2. Abhay Deol –
The way Abhay portrays his character, you instantly fall in love with Bilal Ahmed. He is a solid actor who remarkably characterizes the depth and innocence of the son of the ex governor. As a reluctant politician and a cricket lover, he does justice to every scene. The film is called Happy Bhag jayegi but the most loved character portrayal is of Bilal Ahmed.
3. Piyush Mishra –
This man has no boundaries. As a Pakistani cop Usman Afridi, he is hilariously apt for whatever he does. Specially, the scene when as a true Pakistani he steps down in India for the first time, or the way he every time says, ‘kaash ye Pakistan me hota’.. Piyush Mishra does it all with such an ease! He is exceptional!
4. Urdu –
The way Mudassar Aziz has described the Indo – Pak scenario in this film, its unbelievable. Very different and fun filled approach which comes out of the scenes naturally. Talking about the use of Urdu, you will love the dialogues in Urdu-Hindi which are understandable and so cool. Specially one conversation on phone between Bilal and Usman! Superb!
5. For all amazing characters –
Jimmy Sheirgil (as usual who doesn’t get the heroin) as the terrific Bagga, “jiski shadi ke cards bhi ban gaye thei”…, Diana Penty as bubbly Happy (could have been a little better), Ali Zafar as a separated lover Guddu, Momal Sheikh as a lover in pain Zoya, Javed Sheikh as Bilal’s father, Kanwaljit Singh as Happy’s father & Ifatbi & Fakru mamu as staff of Bilal.. all of them are well defined and to a good extent, well portrayed.
But the film doesn’t bore you and you will come out super happy!
